This project was a collaboration between Tesla, Aperture, and Singapore’s local creatives. It was structured around a rigorous five-day sprint that included product photography, commercial filming, and a two-day exclusive Tesla showcase. SECTION THREE

We define your project's direction and objectives, meticulously planning every detail to ensure a seamless and successful journey.

Detailed Planning

After receiving the deposit and outlining project goals, we plan every detail for the shoot meticulously. In this essential pre-production phase, we handle creative direction, concept development, resource procurement, and logistics coordination—all designed to minimize risks. This careful planning ensures a smooth shoot day with minimal concerns.

Creative Direction

The creative direction positions Singapore as a tech-ready nation, using Tesla’s Cybertruck as a bold symbol of innovation. Paired with futuristic-themed floral elements that subtly echo Singapore’s lush landscape, this concept artfully merges cutting-edge technology with organic beauty, reflecting the country’s unwavering dedication to sustainability and its visionary outlook for an advanced, future-ready society.

Mood Board

A moodboard captures the overall aesthetic and tone before the shoot. It features inspiration images, color palettes, lighting examples, and mood sketches that evoke a feeling. This visual guide ensures a shared creative vision, streamlines decisions, and sets the stage for the final imagery.

COLOR PALETTE

Concept Board

A concept board defines the project’s structure by aligning vision with practical execution. It includes detailed references for lighting, composition, styling, and brand aesthetics, offering clear guidance for the team. This approach minimizes guesswork and keeps the creative process focused for a cohesive final result.

Mockup Render

In a project of this scale, there is zero tolerance for error. We plan every detail by creating to-scale 3D replicas of the Cybertruck and props. This mockup render process eliminates guesswork and ensures management of key resources, so all can visualize the outcome.

Before Shoot

Thorough preparation is key to a smooth, efficient photoshoot. By addressing essential tasks in advance, we reduce uncertainties, anticipate challenges, and ensure everyone is aligned. This groundwork lets us focus fully on our core responsibilities on the day of the shoot.

1. Site Recce

If outdoor photography is involved, we conduct a site recce to assess the location. We document key details—lighting conditions, environmental factors, and space constraints—to plan the shoot strategically and ensure a smooth day.

2. Procurement

Depending on the project’s needs, we bring in professional creatives such as set stylists, make-up artists, or talent. We also secure the necessary support staff, including assistants and technicians, to manage all resources expertly.

3. Run Down

Once we have the details, we plan the shoot day thoroughly. A detailed schedule aligns everyone involved, manages time effectively, and ensures clear communication and accountability throughout the process.

4. Pre-Lighting

For complex projects, we arrive a day early to set up and test the lighting rigorously. This careful pre-lighting process—with multiple adjustments—enhances efficiency and effectiveness when the actual shoot begins.

Execution

4. Execution

SECTION FOUR

We bring your vision to life with precision, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the shooting process.

Shoot Day

This is where all our preparation comes to life. Given the technical demands of product photography, we typically work in a controlled studio equipped with professional lighting and gear. We recommend having a key decision-maker on-site to approve shots and ensure your vision is met.

1. Approach

Before anything else, we analyze your product’s key features to determine how best to showcase them in a two-dimensional space. By asking, “What are we trying to emulate?”, we align with your brand’s vision, ensuring each shot remains true to its identity and market positioning.

2. Lighting

Lighting forms the foundation of high-quality product photography, defining depth, texture, and mood. It’s one of the most challenging aspects, requiring a thorough understanding of how light interacts with different surfaces, materials, and angles to produce a visually compelling, polished final image.

3. Styling

In still photography, every element of composition must be intentional. Styling takes time, demanding precise adjustments to achieve visual balance, uphold brand consistency, and capture your product’s appeal in a single frame.
